The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by the women of Banu Abd al-Ashhal who were weeping for those they had lost on the day of Uhud. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "But Hamza has no women to weep for him."So the women of the Ansar came and began weeping for Hamza. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then awoke and said, "Woe to them, have they not yet returned home? Tell them to go back, and let no one weep over the dead after this day."
Ibn Majah (1591) narrated it from Harun bin Saeed Misri, who said, Abdullah bin Wahb told us, saying, Usama bin Zayd informed us, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, and he related it. Its chain is hasan because of Usama bin Zayd, who is the Laythi, and there is disagreement about him, but his hadith is hasan, and he is among the narrators of Muslim. Hakim (3/194–195) also transmitted it and said, "Sahih according to the standard of Muslim." The hadith appears in Musnad of Imam Ahmad (5563) narrated from Usama bin Zayd in the same manner.Abu Yaala (3564) narrated it through two paths, one from Usama, from Nafi, from Ibn Umar, and another from Usama, who said, Zuhri told me, from Anas bin Malik, and he related the hadith. This second path was also narrated by Hakim (1/381), who said, "Sahih according to the standard of Muslim."
