The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Allah, whoever believes in You and bears witness that I am Your messenger, make the meeting with You beloved to him, ease Your decree upon him, and reduce his share of this world. And whoever does not believe in You, nor bear witness that I am Your messenger, do not make the meeting with You beloved to him, do not ease Your decree upon him, and increase his share of this world."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: اللهم من آمن بك، وشهد أني رسولك، فحبب إليه لقاءك، وسهل عليه قضاءك، وأقلل له من الدنيا، ومن لم يؤمن بك، ويشهد أني رسولك فلا تحبب إليه لقاءك، ولا تسهل عليه قضاءك، وأكثر له من الدنيا.
Tabarani related it in Al-Kabir (18/313) from Yahya bin Uthman bin Salih, who said, Asbagh bin Farah told us, Abdullah bin Wahb told us, from Saeed bin Abu Ayub, from Abu Hani, from Amr bin Malik, from Fadala bin Ubayd, who mentioned it. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (208), and he related it by another route from Abdullah bin Wahb with the same wording. Haythami said in Al-Majmu (10/286), "Its narrators are trustworthy."As for what is reported from Muaz bin Jabal as a raised hadith, "Shall I tell you what Allah will first say to the believers on the Day of Resurrection, and what they will first say to Him?" We said, "Yes, O Messenger of Allah." He said, "Allah will say to the believers, 'Did you love to meet Me?' They will say, 'Yes, our Lord.' He will say, 'Why?' They will say, 'We hoped for Your pardon and Your forgiveness.' He will say, 'My forgiveness is now due to you'," this is daif.Imam Ahmad related it (22072), and Tabarani in Al-Kabir (20/251), both by way of Abdullah bin Mubarak, and it is also in his Zuhd (276), from Yahya bin Ayub, from Ubaydullah bin Zahr, who was told it by Khalid bin Abu Imran, from Abu Ayyash, who said, Muaz said, and then mentioned it. Ubaydullah bin Zahr is daif, and Abu Ayyash did not hear from Muaz. Tabarani also related it in Al-Kabir (20/1841) by another route, from Khalid bin Madan, from Muaz, but Khalid likewise did not hear from Muaz.Likewise, what is reported from Muawiya, the Commander of the Believers, that he used to say, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever loves to meet Allah, Allah loves to meet him, and whoever hates to meet Allah, Allah hates to meet him," this too is daif. Tabarani related it in Al-Kabir (19/391) by way of Ishaq bin Ibrahim (Ibn Ala bin Zubrayq), who said, Amr bin Harith told us, Abdullah bin Salim told us, Numayr bin Aws told us, from Zubaydi, that Muawiya mentioned it with the same wording. Nasai said of Ishaq bin Ibrahim bin Ala bin Zubrayq, "He is not trustworthy," and Muhammad bin Awf flatly stated that he lied. As for his teacher Amr bin Harith, Dhahabi said of him, "His integrity is not known." Despite all this, Haythami said of it in Al-Majmu (3212), "Tabarani related it in Al-Kabir, and its chain of transmission is hasan."
