Imam Ahmad (9565) narrated it from Yahya, from Ibn Ajlan, who said, "Saeed bin Yasar told me, from Abu Hurairah," and he related it. Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih, narrating it in Kitab Tawheed (89, 91) through two routes from Ibn Ajlan, from Saeed, with the same wording. Its chain is hasan due to the discussion surrounding Ibn Ajlan, who is Muhammad bin Ajlan, except that the hadith has corroboration. Ibn Hibban narrated it in his Sahih (3318) through another route from Muhammad bin Amr, from Saeed, from Abu Saeed the freedman of Mahri, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it. Saeed here is Saeed bin Abu Saeed Maqburi. Abu Saeed the freedman of Mahri was narrated from by a group, among them Saeed bin Abu Saeed Maqburi. Muslim and the compilers of the Sunan, except Ibn Majah, narrated from him. Ibn Hibban mentioned him in Thiqat (5/588) and Hafiz said of him, "Acceptable," though the truth is that he is close to "trustworthy."Malik narrated it in Kitab Sadaqah (1) from Yahya bin Saeed, from Abu Hubab Saeed bin Yasar, from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, as a mursal narration. This is how Yahya bin Yahya narrated it from Malik, as mursal. Ibn Abdul-Barr said in Tamheed (16/435), "This is how Yahya narrated Malik's version in the Muwatta, as mursal, and most of the narrators from Malik followed him in this, among them Ibn Qasim, Ibn Wahb, Mutarrif, Abu Musab, and a group of others. Maen bin Isa and Yahya bin Abdullah bin Bukayr narrated it from Malik, from Yahya, from Abu Hubab, from Abu Hurairah, as a connected narration."I say, the narration of Yahya bin Abdullah bin Bukayr was related by Ibn Khuzayma in Tawheed (95) from Yunus, who said, "Yahya bin Abdullah bin Bukayr informed us, he said, Malik narrated to us, from Yahya bin Saeed, from Saeed bin Yasar, from Abu Hurairah, from the Prophet ﷺ," with the same wording.
