Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited a sick person or one was brought to him, he would say, "Remove the affliction, Lord of mankind. Heal, for You are the Healer. There is no healing except Your healing, a healing that leaves behind no illness."
إن رسول الله ﷺ كان إذا أتى مريضا أو أتي به إليه قال عليه الصلاة والسلام: أذهب البأس رب الناس، اشف وأنت الشافي، لا شفاء إلا شفاؤك، شفاء لا يغادر سقما.
Bukhari related it in "The Sick" (5675), and Muslim in "Greetings" (47/2191), both from the hadith of Abu Awana, from Mansur, from Ibrahim, from Masruq, from Ayesha, and mentioned it. In another version, ﷺ used to visit some of his family members, wiping with his right hand, then saying, and he mentioned it.Bukhari related it in "Medicine" (5743), and Muslim, through the route of Abu Duha Muslim bin Sabih, from Masruq, from Ayesha. And in Abu Yaala and elsewhere, when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited a sick person, he would place his hand on the place that hurt and then say, "In the name of Allah, no harm."Haythami said in "Majma" (2/299), "Abu Yaala related it, and its narrators are reliable."
