Tabarani narrated it in Al-Saghir (1022) from Muhammad bin Yaqub Abu Salih Warraq Asbahani, from Ahmad bin Furat Razi, from Muhammad bin Kathir, from Muhammad bin Fudayl, from Salt bin Bahram, from Abu Waail, from Bara, and he related it.Haythami said in Al-Majmu (2/295), "Tabarani narrated it in Al-Saghir, and it contains Salt bin Bahram, who is trustworthy, though he held Murjiite views."I say, Salt bin Bahram Kufi Tamimi, Abu Hashim, was deemed trustworthy by Ibn Main and Ahmad. Abu Hatim said, "He is truthful and has no defect except his Murjiite leanings." Ibn Hibban listed him among Al-Thiqat.Ibn Hajar said, "Hafiz Abdul-Ghani mentioned him, while Mizzi omitted him because he did not find a narration of his in the aforementioned books, though it would have been more prudent to include him as a precaution."
