I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "How wonderful is the affair of the believer! Allah never decrees anything for him except that it is good for him."
سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول: عجبت للمؤمن! إن الله لم يقض له قضاء إلا كان خيرا له.
Imam Ahmad narrated it (12160) from Yahya (who is Ibn Saeed), from Sufyan, who said, Qasim bin Shurayh narrated to me, from Thalaba, who said, I heard Anas say... and he mentioned it.Qasim is "a shaykh," as Abu Hatim said in Jarh wa Tadil (7/111), and Ibn Hibban mentioned him in Thiqat. It has been corroborated. Abu Yaala narrated it (4217, 4218), and Qudai in Musnad Shihab (596), through several routes, from Hasan bin Ubaydullah (who is Ibn Urwa Nakhai), a trustworthy and virtuous narrator. In some sources his name has been corrupted to Husayn bin Ubaydullah. It was likewise corroborated by Asim Ahwal, from Thalaba bin Asim, and through his route it was narrated by Abdullah bin Imam Ahmad in his additions to the Musnad (20283), and by Ibn Hibban (728), both through several routes from Nuh bin Habban, who said, Hafs bin Ghiyath narrated to us, from Asim Ahwal, with his chain of transmission, in a similar wording.Thalaba bin Asim is Abu Bahr, the freed slave of Anas. Abu Hatim said, "Salih." Ibn Hibban mentioned him in Thiqat, a group of narrators reported from him, and his hadith is hasan.
