The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When Allah intends good for someone, He afflicts him with hardship."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من يرد الله منه خيرا يصب منه.
Malik narrated it in al-Ayn (7) from Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Abu Sasaa, who said, I heard Abu Hubab Saeed bin Yasar say, I heard Abu Hurairah say, then he mentioned the hadith. Bukhari narrated it by this route in the Book of the Sick (5645).
