I was with the Prophet ﷺ when news reached him that a woman from the Ansar had lost her son and was overcome with grief. The Prophet ﷺ stood up, accompanied by his Companions, and when he reached the woman's door, someone said to her, "The Prophet of Allah ﷺ wishes to come in to console you."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered and said, "I have been told that you are grieving deeply over your son."She replied, "Prophet of Allah, why should I not grieve when I am one whose children do not survive?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The truly bereaved is the one whose children remain alive. No Muslim woman or Muslim man loses a child," or he said, "three of their children, and patiently seeks reward for them, except that Paradise becomes guaranteed for them."Umar, who was on the Prophet's right, said, "May my father and mother be ransomed for you, and two?"The Prophet of Allah ﷺ replied, "And two."

Bazzar (857 - Kashf Astar) narrated it from Ahmad bin Uthman, who said, Jafar bin Awn narrated to us, from Bashir bin Muhajir, from Abdullah bin Burayda, from his father, and he mentioned it.Hakim also narrated it in Mustadrak (1/383-384) through the route of Bashir bin Muhajir, similarly, and said, "Sahih isnad, though the two of them (Bukhari and Muslim) did not include the mention of raqub."I say, that is indeed so, except that Bashir bin Muhajir, although he is among the narrators of Muslim, is a subject of disagreement. Ahmad said, "His hadith is munkar." Abu Hatim said, "His hadith is written down but not relied upon." However, Ibn Main and Ajli graded him thiqah, and Nasai said, "There is no harm in him." Someone like this does not fall below the level of hasan, especially when it comes to corroborating narrations.
