I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Whoever loses three children and bears it patiently seeking reward from Allah will enter Paradise."We asked, "Messenger of Allah, what about two?"He replied, "And two as well."
سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: من مات له ثلاثة من الولد فاحتسبهم دخل الجنة. قال: قلنا: يا رسول الله! واثنان؟ قال: واثنان.
Imam Ahmad narrated it (14385) from Muhammad bin Abu Adi, from Muhammad bin Ishaq, who said, Muhammad bin Ibrahim told me, from Mahmud bin Labeed, from Jabir, and he related it.Mahmud said, "I said to Jabir, 'I think if you were to say "one," he would say "one."'" He said, "And I, by Allah, think so too."Its chain of transmission is hasan, because of Muhammad bin Ishaq. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (2946), narrating it through the route of Muhammad bin Ishaq. Haythami mentioned it in Majma (73) and said, "Ahmad narrated it, and its narrators are trustworthy."
