The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would not prolong the sermon on Friday. It was only a few brief words.

Abu Dawud (1107) narrated it, saying, Mahmud bin Khalid told us, Walid told us, Shayban Abu Muawiya informed me, from Simak bin Harb, from Jabir bin Samura, and he related it.Its chain is hasan, because of Simak bin Harb, for he is truthful.
