I went out with Abdullah to the prayer, and he found that three men had arrived before him. He said, "The fourth of four, and the fourth of four is not far behind. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, 'On the Day of Resurrection, people will be seated near Allah according to how early they set out for the Friday prayers, the first, the second, and the third.'"Then he said, "The fourth of four, and the fourth of four is not far behind."
خرجت مع عبد الله إلى الصلاة فوجد ثلاثة وقد سبقوه، فقال: رابع أربعة وما رابع أربعة ببعيد، إني سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: إن الناس يجلسون من الله يوم القيامة على قدر رواحهم إلى الجمعات، الأول، والثاني، والثالث ثم قال: رابع أربعة وما رابع أربعة ببعيد.
Ibn Majah (1094) narrated it from Kathir bin Ubayd Himsi, who said, Abdul-Majid bin Abdul-Aziz narrated to us, from Mamar, from Amash, from Ibrahim, from Alqama, and he mentioned it.Its chain is hasan, on account of Abdul-Majid bin Abdul-Aziz, for he is "truthful," though he was accused of holding Irja, as stated in Taqrib. Muslim included a narration from him paired with another narrator. Hafiz Munziri graded it hasan in Targhib wa Tarhib.Busiri said in Misbah Zujaja (1/364), "This chain has something to be said about it. Abdul-Majid is Ibn Abdul-Aziz bin Abu Rawwad, and although Muslim included a narration from him in his Sahih, he only included it paired with another narrator, for he was strongly inclined to Irja and was an active caller to it. However, the majority declared him trustworthy, Ahmad, Ibn Main, Abu Dawud, and Nasai, while Abu Hatim considered him weak, and Ibn Hibban declared him daif. The rest of the narrators in the chain are trustworthy, so the chain is hasan. Ibn Abu Asim narrated it by this same route with a hasan chain, and Tabarani narrated it in Kabir as well, from the hadith of Abdullah bin Masud."
