The Prophet ﷺ said, "Three types of people attend the Friday prayer. A man who attends it engaging in idle talk, and that is all he gains from it. A man who attends it making supplication, so he is a man who has called upon Allah . If He wills, He grants him his request, and if He wills, He withholds from him. And a man who attends it in silence and attentiveness, neither stepping over the neck of a Muslim nor causing harm to anyone. For him it is an expiation until the next Friday, with three additional days. That is because Allah
says, 'Whoever brings a good deed shall have ten times the like thereof' [Anam 6:160]."
Abu Dawud (1113) narrated it through Yazid, from Habib al-Muallim, from Amr bin Shuayb, from his father, from Abdullah bin Amr. He then mentioned it.Its isnad is hasan, on account of Amr bin Shuayb, from his father Shuayb bin Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Amr, for both of them are truthful narrators. Ibn Khuzayma (1813) graded it sahih, narrating it through Habib al-Muallim with the same wording.
