Abdullah bin Amr bin As reported,

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Three types of people attend the Friday prayer. A man who attends it engaging in idle talk, and that is all he gains from it. A man who attends it making supplication, so he is a man who has called upon Allah . If He wills, He grants him his request, and if He wills, He withholds from him. And a man who attends it in silence and attentiveness, neither stepping over the neck of a Muslim nor causing harm to anyone. For him it is an expiation until the next Friday, with three additional days. That is because Allah says, 'Whoever brings a good deed shall have ten times the like thereof' [Anam 6:160]."

عن عبد الله بن عمرو

عن النبي ﷺ قال: يحضر الجمعة ثلاثة نفر: رجل حضرها يلغو، وهو حظه منها، ورجل حضرها يدعو، فهو رجل دعا الله- عز وجل- إن شاء أعطاه، وإن شاء منعه، ورجل حضرها بإنصات وسكوت، ولم يتخط رقبة مسلم، ولم يؤذ أحدا، فهي كفارة إلى الجمعة التي تليها، وزيادة ثلاثة أيام؛ وذلك بأن الله- عز وجل- يقول: {من جاء بالحسنة فله عشر أمثالها} [الأنعام ١٦٠].
