The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever bathes on Friday, purifies himself as thoroughly as he can, applies oil to his hair or touches some perfume, then sets out and does not force his way between two people, prays whatever has been prescribed for him, and then listens attentively when the imam comes out, will be forgiven for whatever sins he committed between that Friday and the next."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من اغتسل يوم الجمعة وتطهر بما استطاع من طهر، ثم ادهن، أو مس من طيب، ثم راح فلم يفرق بين اثنين فصلى ما كتب له، ثم إذا خرج الإمام أنصت، غفر له ما بينه وبين الجمعة الأخرى.
Bukhari reported it in the Book of Friday Prayer (910), from Abdan, who said, Abdullah told us, he said, Ibn Abu Dhib told us, from Saeed Maqburi, from his father, from Ibn Wadiah, from Salman Farsi, and he related it.In another report of his (883), "Then he should listen attentively when the imam speaks."Hafiz said in Fath al-Bari (2/371), "This is one of the hadiths that Daraqutni traced through Bukhari's chains, and he mentioned that there was disagreement about it concerning Saeed Maqburi. Ibn Abu Dhib narrated it from him in this manner, while Ibn Ajlan narrated it saying, 'from Abu Dharr' instead of Salman, which will come later. Abu Mashar narrated it from him with the chain broken, mentioning neither Salman nor Abu Dharr. Ubaydullah Umari narrated it from him saying, 'from Abu Hurairah.'" End of quote.Hafiz said, "As for Ibn Ajlan, he is inferior to Ibn Abu Dhib in memorization, so his narration is outweighed, though it is possible that Ibn Wadiah heard it from both Abu Dharr and Salman together."This is what we consider sahih, because it agrees with the principles of the science of hadith.
