I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ addressing the people from atop his she-camel Adba on the day of sacrifice at Mina.
رأيت رسول الله ﷺ يخطب الناس على ناقته العضباء يوم الأضحى بمنى.
Abu Dawud (1954) narrated it from Harun bin Abdullah, who said, Hisham bin Abdul-Malik narrated to us, Ikrima narrated to us, Al-Harmas bin Ziyad narrated to us, and then he related it. Ibn Hibban (3875) also narrated it through Ikrima bin Ammar, who said, Al-Harmas bin Ziyad Al-Bahili narrated to me, saying, "I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and my father, while I was riding behind him on a camel, and I was a small boy, and I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ delivering a sermon to the people from atop his she-camel Al-Adba at Mina."Ibn Khuzayma (2953) graded it sahih, and Imam Ahmad (15968) also narrated it, all of them through Ikrima bin Ammar. Its chain of transmission is hasan, for although Ikrima bin Ammar is among the narrators relied upon by Muslim, more than one of the scholars have criticized him, but his hadith is hasan so long as he does not report something anomalous.
