The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever eats from this plant should not come near our mosques," meaning garlic.
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من أكل من هذه الشجرة، فلا يقربن مساجدنا يعني الثوم.
Tabarani narrated it in Al-Awsat (8545) and Majmaa Bahrayn (596) from Muaz (bin Muthanna Anbari), who said, "Ali bin Madini told us, Maen bin Isa Qazzaz told us, Ibrahim bin Saad told us, from Zuhri, from Abbad bin Tamim, from his uncle Abdullah bin Zayd," and he related it.Tabarani said, "No one narrated it from Zuhri except Ibrahim bin Saad, and Maen Qazzaz narrated it alone."Haythami said in Al-Majmaa (17/2), "Tabarani narrated it in Al-Awsat and Al-Kabir, and the men of Al-Kabir are the men of sahih."I say, the men of Al-Awsat are also trustworthy, and their being the sole narrators does not harm the narration.
