The Prophet ﷺ said, "If any of you passes through our mosque or our marketplace carrying arrows, let him hold on to their tips," or he said, "let him grip them with his hand, lest he injure any of the Muslims with them."
ى، عن النبي ﷺ قال: إذا مر أحدكم في مسجدنا، أو سوقنا، ومعه نبل فليمسك على نصالها أو قال: فليقبض بكفه، أن يصيب أحدا من المسلمين منها شيء.
Bukhari narrated it in Fitan (7075), and Muslim in Birr and Sila (2615), both from Muhammad bin Ala, who said, Abu Usama narrated to us, from Buraid, from Abu Burda, from Abu Musa, mentioning the same.In another version reported by Bukhari (452), from the hadith of Abdul-Wahid, from Abu Burda, "so that he does not wound a Muslim with his hand."In another version reported by Muslim, from the hadith of Thabit, from Abu Burda, he repeated three times the saying, "let him hold onto their arrowheads."His saying, "Nabl" is with a fatha on the nun, a sakin on the letter ba, followed by a lam. These are the Arabic arrows, and the word is feminine, having no singular form from its own root. "Nusul" is the plural of "nasl."
