The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "For me to sit with a group of people remembering Allah the Exalted from the dawn prayer until the sun rises is more beloved to me than freeing four descendants of Ismail. And for me to sit with a group of people remembering Allah from the afternoon prayer until the sun sets is more beloved to me than freeing four."
Abu Dawud (3667) narrated it from Muhammad bin Muthanna, who said, I was told by Abdul-Salam, meaning Ibn Muthahhar (Abu Zafar), who said, We were told by Musa bin Khalaf Ammi, from Qatada, from Anas, and he mentioned it.Abdul-Salam bin Muthahhar is truthful. As for Musa bin Khalaf, Ibn Hibban was alone in saying about him, "He produced many objectionable narrations." Ajli deemed him reliable, Ibn Main said, "There is no harm in him," and Abu Hatim said, "His hadith is acceptable."
