The Prophet ﷺ said, "The mosques have their pillars. The angels are their companions. If they are absent, the angels miss them. If they fall ill, the angels visit them. If they are in need, the angels help them."The Prophet ﷺ also said, "The one who frequents the mosque gains one of three things, a brother to benefit from, a wise word, or an awaited mercy."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: إن للمساجد أوتادا، الملائكة جلساؤهم، إن غابوا يفتقدونهم، وإن مرضوا عادوهم، وإن كانوا في حاجة أعانوهم. وقال ﷺ: جليس المسجد على ثلاث خصال: أخ مستفاد، أو كلمة محكمة، أو رحمة منتظرة.
Imam Ahmad (9424) narrated it from Qutayba, who said, Ibn Lahia told me, from Darraj, from Ibn Hujayra, from Abu Hurairah, who said, and then he mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Ibn Lahia, for there is criticism of him, except that Qutayba bin Saeed's narration from him is hasan. Likewise Darraj, who is Ibn Saman al-Masri, is hasan in his hadith when he does not narrate from Abu Haytham, and this narration is from him.His saying, "pegs," means men who cling to it the way pegs cling to their sockets.
