The Prophet ﷺ said, "No Muslim man devotes himself regularly to the mosques for prayer and remembrance except that Allah delights in him just as the family of an absent loved one delights when he returns to them."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: ما توطن رجل مسلم المساجد للصلاة، والذكر، إلا تبشبش الله له كما يتبشبش أهل الغائب بغائبهم إذا قدم عليهم.
Ibn Majah (800) reported it. He said, Abu Bakr bin Abu Shayba informed us, he said, Shababa narrated to us, he said, Ibn Abu Dhib narrated to us, from Maqburi, from Saeed bin Yasar, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it. Its chain is sahih. Busiri also declared its chain sahih in Zawaid. Ibn Khuzayma (1503) also declared it sahih, as did Ibn Hibban (1607), and Hakim (1/213), who said, sahih according to the standard of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim). They all reported it through the route of Ibn Abu Dhib in the same manner.Layth bin Saad differed from him, saying, Saeed Maqburi narrated to me, from Abu Ubayda, from Saeed bin Yasar, that he heard Abu Hurairah say, the Messenger of Allah said, "No one performs wudu, doing it well and completing it thoroughly, then comes to the masjid desiring nothing but prayer in it, except that Allah welcomes him warmly, just as the family of an absent person welcomes him warmly upon his arrival." Imam Ahmad (8065) reported it from Hashim, and Ibn Khuzayma (1491) from Shuayb, both of them from Layth in the same manner.Abu Ubayda is unknown, and Daraqutni and others have declared him unknown, but the chain is established without him as mentioned above. Harith bin Abu Usama presented this chain in Bughyat Bahith (128), saying, Abu Nadr narrated to us, Layth (that is, Ibn Saad) narrated to us, Maqburi narrated to me, from Saeed bin Yasar, that he heard Abu Hurairah say, and he related the hadith in the same manner. So the chain reverts to Maqburi, from Saeed, without the intermediary of Abu Ubayda.
