The Prophet ﷺ prostrated during the recitation of Surah an-Najm, and the Muslims, the polytheists, the jinn, and humankind all prostrated with him.
أن النبي ﷺ سجد بالنجم، وسجد معه المسلمون والمشركون، والجن والإنس.
Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on prostration for Quran recitation (1071) and in tafsir (4862), through two routes from Abdul-Warith, who said, Ayub narrated to us, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, and he mentioned it. Bukhari said, Ibn Tahman also narrated it from Ayub.I say, this incident took place in Makkah, as Ibn Masud said, and Ibn Abbas was not present at the incident because of his young age. So either he heard it from the Prophet ﷺ afterward, or from Ibn Masud, or from someone else.
