The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever among you is able to prostrate, let him prostrate. Whoever is not able, let him not raise anything to his forehead to prostrate upon, but rather let his bowing and prostration be performed by gesturing with his head."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من استطاع منكم أن يسجد فليسجد، ومن لم يستطع فلا يرفع إلى جبهته شيئا يسجد عليه، ولكن ركوعه وسجوده يؤمى برأسه.

Tabarani reported it in al-Awsat (7085) from Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Bakr, who said, Surayj bin Yunus told us, who said, Qiran bin Tamam told us, from Ubaydullah bin Umar, from Nafi, and he mentioned it.Tabarani said, "No one narrated this hadith from Ubaydullah bin Umar except Qiran bin Tamam, and Surayj bin Yunus alone transmitted it."I say, Qiran, with the first letter having a damma and the ra doubled, ibn Tamam al-Asadi al-Kufi, was deemed reliable by Ahmad, Ibn Main, and Daraqutni, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators, so a narrator like him makes his hadith hasan. Nor does it harm the hadith that Surayj bin Yunus alone transmitted it, for he is Abu Harith al-Baghdadi, a trustworthy and devout man among the narrators of the two Sahihs. This is why Haythami said in al-Majma (2/149), "His narrators are all deemed reliable, with nothing said against them that would harm the hadith."Nor is this hadith undermined by what has come from Ibn Umar as a stopped report, narrated by Malik and a group of others from Nafi, because that does not prevent the raised version from being sahih, since its narrators are trustworthy.
