I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "There are three hundred and sixty joints in the human body, and a person must give charity on behalf of each joint."They asked, "Prophet of Allah, who could possibly manage that?"He replied, "Burying spittle you find in the mosque counts, and removing something harmful from the road counts. If you cannot find such acts to perform, then the two units of the forenoon prayer will suffice you."
Abu Dawud (5242) narrated it from Ahmad bin Muhammad Marwazi, who said, "Ali bin Husayn narrated to me, my father narrated to me, who said, Abdullah bin Burayda narrated to me, who said, I heard my father Burayda," and then he mentioned the hadith. Its chain is hasan, due to some discussion regarding Husayn, who is Ibn Waqid Marwazi, except that his hadith is hasan. Ibn Khuzayma (1226) and Ibn Hibban (1642, 2540) both narrated it through the route of Husayn bin Waqid in the same way.
