I heard Bara Yahduth narrate from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he was on a journey and prayed the night prayer. In one of the two rakahs he recited "By the fig and the olive" [Tin 95:1].
سمعت البراء يحدث عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه كان في سفر فصلى العشاء الآخرة. فقرأ في إحدى الركعتين: {والتين والزيتون}.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Prayer (767), and Muslim in the Book of Prayer (464), both from the hadith of Shubah, from Adi bin Thabit, who narrated it.Bara said in one narration, "I never heard anyone with a more beautiful voice than his."
