The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during a prayer, "O Allah, curse the tribes of Banu Lihyan, Ril, Zakwan, and Usayya, for they have disobeyed Allah and His Messenger. As for Ghifar, may Allah forgive them, and as for Aslam, may Allah keep them safe."
قال رسول الله ﷺ في صلاة: اللهم العن بني لحيان ورعلا وذكوان، وعصية عصوا الله حلقة الى ورسوله. غفار غفر الله لها، وأسلم سالمها الله.
Muslim narrated it in Al-Masajid (679) from the hadith of Ibn Wahb, from Layth, from Aqeel, beginning it with Imran bin Abu Anas, from Hanzala bin Ali, from Khufaf bin Ima, and he related it.In another version, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ bowed, then raised his head and said, "Ghifar, may Allah forgive them. Aslam, may Allah grant them safety. Usayyah has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger. O Allah, curse Banu Lihyan. Curse Ral and Zakwan." Then he fell into prostration.Khufaf said, "So the curse of the disbelievers was made for that reason."
