Abdullah bin Amr bin As reported,
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The womb of kinship is suspended from the Throne. The one who truly upholds family ties is not the one who merely returns what he receives, but the one who restores the bond when his relatives have severed it."

Imam Ahmad narrated it from Yaala bin Ubayd (6524) and from Waki (6817), both of them from Fitr (that is, Ibn Khalifah), from Mujahid, from Abdullah bin Amr, who related it.Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (445), and narrated it through another route from Fitr with his chain, similarly.Dhahabi said in Uluww (93), "Its chain is strong."
