I asked Ayesha about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.She said, "He used to pray thirteen rakahs. He would pray eight rakahs, then perform witr, then pray two rakahs while seated, and when he wanted to bow, he would stand up and bow. Then he would pray two rakahs between the call to prayer and the iqamah of the dawn prayer."
سألت عائشة عن صلاة رسول الله ﷺ فقالت: كان يصلي ثلاث عشرة ركعة يصلي ثمان ركعات، ثم يوتر، ثم يصلي ركعتين وهو جالس، فإذا أراد أن يركع قام فركع، ثم يصلي ركعتين بين النداء والإقامة من صلاة الصبح.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of the Prayer of Travelers (738/126) from Muhammad bin Muthanna, who said, Ibn Abu Adi told us, Hisham told us, from Yahya, from Abu Salama, and he related it.He also narrated it (127) from Amr Naqid, who said, Sufyan bin Uyayna told us, from Abdullah bin Abu Lubayd, who heard Abu Salama say, I came to Ayesha and said, "Mother, tell me about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah." She said, "His prayer during the month of Ramadan and at other times was thirteen rakats at night, two of which were the rakats of Fajr."Hisham here is Ibn Hassan Azdi, and Yahya is Ibn Abu Kathir.The reconciliation between the two narrations is that Abu Salama is reported at one time relating from her words thirteen, including the two rakats before dawn, and at another time eleven, meaning without the two rakats of Fajr.
