I prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he prolonged the prayer so much that I considered doing something wrong.He was asked, "What did you consider doing?"He replied, "I considered sitting down and leaving him."
صليت مع رسول الله ﷺ فأطال حتى هممت بأمر سوء، قال: قيل: وما هممت به؟ قال: هممت أن أجلس وأدعه.
Bukhari narrated it in tahajjud (1135), and Muslim in the prayer of the traveler (773), both from the hadith of Amash, from Abu Waail, from Abdullah, who mentioned it, and the wording given is that of Muslim. The wording of Bukhari is also similar to it.
