Bukhari transmitted it in Tawhid (7420) from Ahmad, who said, Muhammad bin Abu Bakr Muqaddami narrated to us, Hammad bin Zayd narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas, concerning the story of Zayd bin Haritha, who came to the Prophet ﷺ complaining, while the Prophet ﷺ kept saying, "Fear Allah and keep your wife." A fuller account of this will come in the tafsir of Surah Ahzab.As for Ahmad in this chain, he is mentioned without his lineage being specified. Abu Nasr Kalabazi said, "He is Ahmad bin Sayyar Marwazi," while Hakim said, "He is Ahmad bin Nasr Nisaburi." This second wording was also transmitted by Bukhari in Tawhid (7421) through another route from Anas.In the mursal report of Shaybi, as Ibn Hajar mentioned in Fath al-Bari (13/412), Zaynab said, "O Messenger of Allah, I am the one among your wives with the greatest claim upon you. I am the best of them in marriage standing, the most honored of them in the matter of who arranged the marriage, and the closest of them to you in kinship. The Merciful married me to you from above His throne, and Jibreel was the intermediary in that. I am the daughter of your paternal aunt, and none of your wives is related to you as closely as I am." He said that this was transmitted by Tabari and by Abu Qasim Tahawi in his book al-Hujjah wal-Tibyan.I say, as for Tabari's tafsir, I did not find this mursal report in it. I later found it in Hakim's Mustadrak (4/27), where he narrated it through the route of Ali bin Asim, from Dawud bin Abu Hind, from Amir (that is, Shaybi), who related it in the same manner.
