The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade two types of transactions, two types of garments, and two times for prayer. As for the two garments, he forbade wrapping oneself in the Samma style, and sitting with one's knees drawn up in a single garment in such a way that one's private parts are exposed to the sky.
أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن بيعتين، وعن لبستين، وعن صلاتين… وأما اللبستان: فعن اشتمال الصماء، وعن الاحتباء في ثوب واحد يفضي بفرجه إلى السماء.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Prayer Times (584), from Ubayd bin Ismail, from Abu Usama, from Ubaydullah, from Khubayb bin Abdul-Rahman, from Hafs bin Asim, from Abu Hurairah, who said, and then he narrated it. He also narrated it in the Book of Clothing (5819), from Muhammad bin Bashshar, who said, Abdul-Wahhab told us, who said, Ubaydullah told us, from Khubayb bin Abdul-Rahman, similarly.Muslim narrated it in the Book of Trade (1511), through several routes, from Ubaydullah bin Umar, from Khubayb bin Abdul-Rahman, similarly, except that he abridged the hadith and did not mention the part relevant to the point being made.Ubaydullah here is the son of Umar bin Hafs bin Asim bin Umar bin Khattab al-Umari.The hadith will come with full detail later in the Book of Trade.
