Nasai (2/79), Ahmad (12617), Ibn Hibban (2125), and Bayhaqi in "Dalail" (1927) all narrated it from the hadith of Humayd Tawil, from Anas, and he mentioned it. Humayd explicitly stated that he heard it directly from Anas in some sources.However, Tirmidhi (363), Bayhaqi in "Dalail" (1927), and others narrated it from Humayd Tawil, from Thabit, from Anas, and he mentioned it. Tirmidhi said, "Hasan sahih." He also said, "This is how Yahya bin Ayub narrated it, from Humayd, from Thabit, from Anas. More than one narrator reported it from Humayd, from Anas, without mentioning 'from Thabit' in it, and whoever mentioned 'from Thabit' in it, that is more sahih." End of quote.I say, rather both are sahih, because it is established that Humayd heard from Anas directly, just as it is established that he heard from Thabit, from Anas. So perhaps he heard it from both of them.As for his saying, "wrapped in it," it means wrapping himself in his garment. Wrapping (tawashshuh) means taking the edge of the garment that he has thrown over his right shoulder and passing it under his left arm, then taking the edge he has thrown over his left shoulder and passing it under his right arm, then tying the two ends together over his chest.
