The Messenger of Allah ﷺ led them in prayer one day when a woman passed through the valley of Batha. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gestured to her to hold back, so she withdrew until he finished the prayer, and then she passed through.
أن رسول الله ﷺ صلى بهم ذات يوم، فمرت امرأة بالبطحاء، فأشار إليها رسول الله ﷺ أن تأخري، فرجعت حتى صلى، ثم مرت.
Imam Ahmad (21888) narrated it from Ali bin Ishaq, who said, Abdullah (that is, Ibn Mubarak) narrated to us, Ibn Lahia narrated to us, Habban bin Wasi narrated to me, from his father, from Abdullah bin Zayd and Abu Bashir Ansari, and they mentioned it.Its chain is hasan, because of the discussion surrounding Ibn Lahia, but the narration of the Abadila from him is hasan, and among them is Abdullah bin Mubarak. Abu Bashir Ansari is the well known companion who witnessed the Battle of the Trench and died after the year sixty. There is disagreement about his name, and it has been said that it was Qays bin Ubayd. His hadiths appear in the Sahihayn.
