The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do not prevent the female servants of Allah from attending the mosques of Allah, but let them go out without perfume."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: لا تمنعوا إماء الله مساجد الله، ولكن ليخرجن وهن تفلات.
Abu Dawud (565) narrated it from Musa bin Ismail, who said, Hammad narrated to us, from Muhammad bin Amr, from Abu Salama, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it. Its chain is hasan, for Muhammad bin Amr, who is Ibn Alqama, is hasan al-hadith. Ibn Khuzayma (1679) and Ibn Hibban (2214) both narrated it as well, through the route of Muhammad bin Amr, in similar fashion.Tafl means a bad odor. It is said, "a woman is tafilah" when she has not perfumed herself, and "women are tafilat."
