He heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "The congregational prayer surpasses the prayer offered alone by twenty-five degrees."
أنه سمع النبي ﷺ يقول: صلاة الجماعة تفضل صلاة الفذ بخمس وعشرين درجة.
Bukhari narrated it in the chapter on adhan (646), from Abdullah bin Yusuf, who said, Layth informed us, who said, Ibn Hadi narrated to me, from Abdullah bin Khabab, from Abu Saeed, and he mentioned it.Abu Dawud (560) added in his narration, saying in it, "If he prays it in open land, and completes its bowing and prostration, it amounts to fifty prayers." He narrated it through the hadith of Hilal bin Maymun Juhani, from Ata bin Yazid, from Abu Saeed Khudri, and he mentioned it.Hilal bin Maymun is disputed, though he is truthful, as Hafiz said, except that he came with a rejected addition, namely his statement "fifty prayers," for no one agreed with him on it.
