The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The congregational prayer is twenty-five times more excellent than the prayer any of you offers alone."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: صلاة الجماعة أفضل من صلاة أحدكم وحده بخمس وعشرين جزءا.
Malik narrated it in Prayer in Congregation (2) from Ibn Shihab, from Saeed bin Musayab, from Abu Hurairah, as mentioned. Muslim narrated it in Mosques (275/649) from Yahya bin Yahya, from Malik, in the same manner.Bukhari narrated it in Adhan (648), and Muslim narrated it, through Zuhri, who said, Saeed bin Musayab informed me, and Bukhari paired him with Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman, that Abu Hurairah said, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The prayer performed together exceeds the prayer performed by one of you alone by twenty-five parts, and the angels of the night and the angels of the day gather together at the Fajr prayer."Then Abu Hurairah would say, "Recite, if you wish, "Indeed, the recitation of dawn is ever witnessed" [Isra 17:78]."
