The Prophet ﷺ came in to visit us, and there was no one present but me, my mother, and my aunt Umm Haram. He said, "Stand up so I may lead you in prayer," and he led us in prayer.A man asked Thabit, "Where did he position Anas in relation to himself?"Thabit replied, "He placed him on his right side."Then he supplicated for us, the household, asking for every good in this world and the next.My mother said, "Messenger of Allah, your little servant, supplicate to Allah for him."So he supplicated for me with every good. The last thing he prayed for me was when he said, "O Allah, increase his wealth and children, and bless him in them."In another narration, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ led him, his mother, and his aunt in prayer. He said, "He placed me on his right and placed the woman behind us."
دخل النبي ﷺ علينا، وما هو إلا أنا، وأمي، وأم حرام خالتي فقال: قوموا فلأصل بكم فصلى بنا. فقال رجل لثابت: أين جعل أنسا منه؟ قال: جعله على يمينه، ثم دعا لنا أهل البيت بكل خير من خير الدنيا والآخرة، فقالت أمي: يا رسول الله! خويدمك ادع الله له. قال: فدعا لي بكل خير. وكان في آخر ما دعا لي به أن قال: اللهم أكثر ماله وولده وبارك له فيه. وفي رواية: أن رسول الله ﷺ صلى به وبأمه وخالته، قال: فأقامني عن يمينه، وأقام المرأة خلفنا.
Muslim narrated it in "The Mosques" (660) from Sulayman, from Thabit, from Anas, mentioning something similar. The second narration was narrated through Musa bin Anas, reporting from Anas bin Malik. In another narration (659), the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was the best of people in character. Sometimes the time for prayer would come while he was in our house, so he would order the mat that was under him to be swept, then sprinkled with water, and then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would lead us in prayer, and we would stand and he would pray with us. Their mat was made of palm-leaf stalks.
