The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When the leader prays sitting, then pray sitting."The people were amazed at Muawiya's truthfulness.

Ibn Abu Shayba narrated it (2/327), Khalid, from Ibn Makhlad, from Sulayman bin Bilal, from Jafar bin Muhammad, who said, I heard Qasim bin Muhammad saying, Muawiya said, then he related the hadith. Qasim bin Muhammad is the son of Abu Bakr, and his hearing from Muawiya is confirmed.Busiri said in Ithaf (1541), "Its narrators are trustworthy."
