The Prophet ﷺ said, "I hear a child crying while I am in prayer, so I shorten it out of concern for the distress it may cause his mother."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: إني لأسمع صوت الصبي، وأنا في الصلاة، فأخفف مخافة أن تفتن أمه.
Bazzar narrated it in his Musnad (9307) from Ali bin Saeed Masruqi, who said, our teacher Abdul-Rahim bin Sulayman narrated to us, our teacher Hasan bin Amr narrated to us, from Ataa, from Abu Hurairah, who said, and then he mentioned it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Ali bin Saeed bin Masruq Kindi Kufi, for his hadith is hasan. Haythami said in Majma (2/74), "Bazzar narrated it, and its narrators are trustworthy."
