The Prophet ﷺ mentioned the hadith of the man who prayed badly, and said in it, "When you sit in the middle of the prayer, be still, spread out your left thigh, then recite the tashahhud. Then when you stand up, do likewise until you finish your prayer."
عن النبي ﷺ فذكر حديث المسي صلاته وقال فيه: فإذا جلست في وسط الصلاة فاطمئن، وافترش فخذك اليسرى، ثم تشهد، ثم إذا قمت فمثل ذلك حتى تفرغ من صلاتك.
Abu Dawud (860) reported it, he said, Muammal bin Hisham narrated to us, Ismail narrated to us, from Muhammad bin Ishaq, Ali bin Yahya bin Khallad bin Rafi narrated to me, from his father, from his uncle Rifa bin Rafi, and he mentioned it.Muhammad bin Ishaq is a mudallis, but he stated clearly that he heard it directly.
