Nasai narrated it (949) from Imran bin Yazid, who said, "Ibn Abu Rijal narrated to us, from Yahya bin Saeed, from Amra, from Umm Hisham," and she mentioned the hadith in the same way. Abdullah bin Ahmad also narrated it, from Hakam, who said, "Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Rijal narrated to us," relating that Yahya bin Saeed mentioned it, from Amra, with the same wording.Its isnad is hasan because of Abdul-Rahman bin Abu Rijal, with the ra vowelled by kasra followed by a jeem. Ahmad and Daraqutni deemed him trustworthy. Abu Dawud said, "There is no harm in him." Abu Hatim said, "Acceptable." Hafiz placed him at the level of "truthful, though he may sometimes err," and the hadith of a narrator at that level is graded hasan. It has already been established through a route other than his that "By the honored Quran" [Qaf 50:1] was recited in the dawn prayer.Therefore there is no need to judge this narration as contradicting the report of Sulayman bin Bilal, Yahya bin Ayub, and others, from Yahya bin Saeed, from Amra bint Abdul-Rahman, from her maternal half-sister, namely Umm Hisham bint Haritha bin Numan, who was older than her. She said, "I learned "Qaf. By the honored Quran" [Qaf 50:1] directly from the mouth of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a Friday, as he used to recite it from the pulpit every Friday." Muslim narrated this in the chapter on Friday (872).He also narrated it through another route from Umm Hisham, who said, "I only memorized "Qaf" [Qaf 50:1] from the mouth of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as he delivered a sermon with it every Friday." She said, "Our clay oven and the oven of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ were one and the same."So perhaps she learned it on two separate occasions, once during the dawn prayer and once on the pulpit on Friday, and so she narrated it one time in connection with the dawn prayer and another time in connection with Friday, and there is no contradiction between the two reports.
