He prayed behind the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I heard him reciting in the Fajr prayer, 'Qaf. By the glorious Quran' [Qaf 50:1], and 'Ya Sin. By the wise Quran' [Yasin 36:1–2]."
أنه صلى خلف النبي ﷺ قال: فسمعته يقرأ في صلاة الفجر: {ق والقرءان المجيد}، و{ليس والقرءان الحكيم}
Imam Ahmad narrated it (16396) from Yunus, who said, Abu Awana narrated to us, from Simak bin Harb, from a man from the people of Madinah, and he mentioned it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Simak bin Harb, for there is disagreement about him, though his hadith is hasan.This man from the people of Madinah may well be Jabir bin Samura, as mentioned before.The addition "Ya-Seen. By the wise Quran." [Yaseen 36:1–2] should be understood as repetition, said one way at one time and another way at another time. There is no need to grade this addition as daif.
