No prayer is valid in which Surat al-Fatihah is not recited.
مرفوعا لا تجزئ صلاة لا يقرأ فيها بفاتحة الكتاب.
Ibn Khuzayma (490) narrated it, and from him Ibn Hibban (1789), from Muhammad bin Yahya Dhuhli, who said, Wahb bin Jareer told us, who said, Shubah told us, from Ala bin Abdul-Rahman, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, and he related the hadith.Abu Hatim (Ibn Hibban) said, "No one said in this report of Ala's, 'a prayer is not valid,' except Shubah, and no one transmitted it from him except Wahb bin Jareer and Muhammad bin Kathir." End of quote.Its chain of transmission is sahih. Wahb bin Jareer is trustworthy and a reliable hadith master, and Muhammad bin Kathir corroborated him.
