The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked about the time for the evening prayer, and he replied, "When the night fills the belly of every valley."
سئل رسول الله ﷺ عن وقت العشاء فقال: إذا ملأ الليل بطن كل واد.
Tabarani transmitted it in Awsat, Majma Bahrayn (1/434) (567), from Ali bin Saeed Razi, who said, "Qatn bin Nusayr Dhira narrated to us, Jafar bin Sulayman Dubai narrated to us," from Muhammad bin Amr, from Yahya bin Abdul-Rahman bin Hatib, from Ayesha, and he mentioned it.Its chain of transmission is hasan. Qatn bin Nusayr Ghubari Dhira, Jafar bin Sulayman, and Muhammad bin Amr Laythi are all truthful narrators who do not rise to the level of being fully trustworthy, even though all of them are among the narrators relied upon by Muslim. This is why Haythami said in Majma al-Zawaid (1/313), "Its narrators are the narrators of the sahih."
