The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The bonds of Islam will be undone one by one. Each time a bond is undone, the people will cling to the one that follows it. The first of them to be undone will be governance by Allah's law, and the last of them will be the prayer."
عن رسول الله ﷺ قال: لتنقضن عرى الإسلام عروة عروة، فكلما انتقضت عروة تشبث الناس بالتي تليها، وأولهن نقضا الحكم، وآخرهن الصلاة.
Ahmad (22160) narrated it, and from his route Tabarani in al-Kabir (7486), from Walid bin Muslim, who said, Abdul-Aziz bin Ismail bin Abdullah told me, that Sulayman bin Habib told them, from Abu Umama, and he mentioned the hadith. Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (6715), narrating it through this same route. Its chain is hasan, for Ibn Abu Hatim said about Abdul-Aziz bin Ismail bin Abdullah, "I asked my father about him, and he said, 'There is no harm in him.'" Ibn Hibban deemed him reliable. He is among the men mentioned in Tajil(660).From this it becomes clear that Haythami erred in Majma (2817) when he said, "The men of both are the men of the Sahih." Walid bin Muslim is a mudallis, though he explicitly stated that he heard it directly.
