The Prophet ﷺ mentioned the prayer one day and said, "Whoever guards it diligently, it will be a light, a proof, and a means of salvation for him on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever does not guard it will have no light, no proof, and no salvation, and he will be on the Day of Resurrection with Qarun, Pharaoh, Haman, and Ubayy bin Khalaf."
عن النبي ﷺ أنه ذكر الصلاة يوما فقال: من حافظ عليها كانت له نورا وبرهانا ونجاة يوم القيامة، ومن لم يحافظ عليها لم يكن له نور ولا برهان ولا نجاة، وكان يوم القيامة مع قارون وفرعون وهامان وأبي بن خلف.
Ahmad (6576) narrated it from Abu Abdul-Rahman, who is Abdullah bin Yazid Muqri, "Saeed, who is Ibn Abu Ayub, narrated to us, Kaab bin Alqama narrated to me, from Isa bin Hilal Sadafi, from Abdullah bin Amr bin As," and he related the hadith.Ibn Hibban narrated it through this same route in his Sahih (1467). Tabarani also narrated it in Al-Kabir and Al-Awsat, Majma Bahrayn (1/406) (528), through the route of Ibn Thawban, from Saeed bin Abu Ayub, with the same wording, except that he did not mention the second part of the hadith, which is his saying, "and whoever does not maintain them."Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Isa bin Hilal Sadafi, for he is truthful (sadooq) as the Hafiz said, while the rest of the narrators in the chain are reliable.Haythami said in Majma al-Zawaid (1/292), "Ahmad and Tabarani narrated it in Al-Kabir and Al-Awsat, and the narrators of Ahmad are reliable."Munziri mentioned it in Targheeb wa Tarheeb (839) and said, "Ahmad narrated it with a good chain of transmission."
