Ayesha reported,

Salma, the freed servant of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, or rather the wife of Abu Rafi, the freed servant of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ seeking his help against Abu Rafi, who had struck her.She said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to Abu Rafi, "What is the matter between you and her, Abu Rafi?"He replied, "She harms me, Messenger of Allah."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then asked, "How did you harm him, Salma?"She said, "Messenger of Allah, I did not harm him in any way. He passed wind while he was praying, so I said to him, 'Abu Rafi, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has commanded the Muslims that whenever one of them passes wind he must perform ablution.' At that he stood up and struck me."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ began to laugh and said, "Abu Rafi, she only instructed you to do what is good."
