Bukhari (137) and Muslim in the Chapter on Menstruation (361) both narrated it through the hadith of Sufyan bin Uyayna, from Zuhri, from Saeed and Abbad, and he related the same. His uncle is Abdullah bin Zayd. This is what Muslim said in his narration from Abu Bakr bin Abu Shayba and Zuhayr bin Harb in their narration from Sufyan.I say, Abdullah bin Zayd is Ibn Aasim Mazini Ansari, the well known companion who narrated the description of the Prophet'sﷺ wudu, as mentioned earlier, and he is not the one associated with the adhan. See further "Minna Kubra" (75/1).Hafiz said, there is disagreement as to whether he is Abbad's uncle on his father's side or his mother's side.Of similar meaning is what was narrated from Abu Saeed Khudri, who said, the Prophetﷺ was asked about uncertainty during prayer, and he said, "He should not stop until he hears a sound or detects a smell."Ibn Majah (514) narrated this from Abu Kurayb, who said, Muharibi related to us, from Muamar bin Rashid, from Zuhri, who said, Saeed bin Musayab informed us, from Abu Saeed, and he related it.Imam Ahmad said, we do not know that Abdul-Rahman bin Muhammad Muharibi heard anything from Muamar, and it has reached us that he used to practice tadlis.The meaning of "uncertainty" here is confusion about whether something has occurred to break the prayer, and in another version it is worded as "doubt."Ahmad (11912) also narrated it through another route from Abu Saeed Khudri, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Satan comes to one of you while he is in his prayer, and takes a hair from his backside, and pulls it, so that he thinks he has broken his prayer, so let him not stop until he hears a sound or detects a smell."This chain includes Ali bin Zayd bin Jadan, who is daif.
