The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The Fire is veiled by desires, and Paradise is veiled by hardships."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: حجبت النار بالشهوات، وحجبت الجنة بالمكاره.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Raqaaiq (6487), and Muslim in the Book of Paradise (2823), both through the route of Abu Zinad, from Araj, from Abu Hurairah, as mentioned above. The wording given is Bukhari's, and Muslim did not present his own wording, but rather referred back to the hadith of Anas preceding it.
