The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Paradise is surrounded by hardships, and the Fire is surrounded by desires."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: حفت الجنة بالمكاره، وحفت النار بالشهوات.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Paradise and Its Description (2822), from Abdullah bin Maslama bin Qanab, who said, Hammad bin Salama narrated to us, from Thabit and Humayd, from Anas bin Malik, who mentioned it.
