The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Give in charity, women, even from your jewelry, for you make up the majority of the people of Hell."A woman who was not among the prominent women stood up and asked, "Why is that, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "Because you curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands."In another narration, "I have not seen anyone more capable of overcoming the reason of resolute men than you, despite your deficiency in intellect and religion."
Ahmad narrated it (4152, 3569), as did Abu Yaala (2) (51, 5144) and Hakim (2/190), all of them through the route of Mansur bin Abu Aswad, from Dharr, from Waail bin Mahana, from Abdullah bin Masud, and he related the hadith.Hakim said, "Its isnad is sahih, though the two of them [Bukhari and Muslim] did not include it."I say, it is hasan, for Waail bin Mahana was only deemed reliable by Ibn Hibban (5/495), except that he was known to Imam Ahmad, who said in the second place that he was one of the companions of Abdullah bin Masud. Shubah said the same, as Bukhari mentioned in Tarikh al-Kabir (8/176), Nasr bin Ali said, from his father, from Shubah, who said, "Waail was one of the companions of Ibn Masud." Someone like him has his hadith graded hasan and is not to be dismissed as unknown. As for Dhahabi, he said in Mizan, "He is not known."
