Abu Talib, the uncle of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, was mentioned in his presence, and he said, "Perhaps my intercession will benefit him on the Day of Resurrection, so that he will be placed in a shallow pool of fire reaching up to his ankles, from which his brain will boil."
أن رسول الله ﷺ ذكر عنده عمه أبو طالب فقال: لعله تنفعه شفاعتي يوم القيامة، فيجعل في ضحضاح من نار يبلغ كعبيه يغلي منه دماغه.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Raqaiq (3885), and Muslim in the Book of Iman (210), both from the hadith of Layth, who said, Ibn Hadi told us, from Abdullah bin Khabab, from Abu Saeed Khudri, and he mentioned it.His saying, "dahdah," refers to shallow water spread over the surface of the ground reaching up to about the ankles, and it is used here metaphorically for the Fire.
